A Better Future ... Un major futuro

Global Travel Alliance is proud to be a partner in un major Futuro, a program to help hard working, bright kids at Mario Aguero González school in Costa Rica continue their education. The school serves a rural area of coffee plantations, so the kids must be transported into town. The expense of transportation, lunch and school supplies is beyond the reach of their families. Your sponsorship will allow these kids to continue their education.

Manuel is the eldest of five brothers. He is a very good student but without support, he cannot continue his education. His father works on a plantation six days a week for $350 a month. His goal is to become a doctor in his community. Though poor by Costa Rican standards, he has a very supportive family that he hopes to one day help through his education.

Heiner Rizo Orozco

Heiner is a shy boy who nonetheless is succeeding. He works hard and is motivated to succeed in school. Heiner’s family are refugees from Nicaragua, seeking a better life in Costa Rica. Like so many that have left Nicaragua, his education has started late but he is catching up. His family hopes for him to be able to finish school so that he will have a better life in the future, feeding a family of five on $400 a month.

Un major Futuro is led by Daniel & Andrea Granados. Daniel is a full time Global Travel Alliance staff member based in Costa Rica Funds are used to buy school supplies, pay for transportation, and meals. Our goal is to raise $45 per student per month for the 10 month academic year. To continue receiving this stipend each student will be subject to a review every two months to ensure that they continue to excel. We hope that you will join us in supporting these great students when so little is needed to tip the scales in their favor. Thank you.
