Vietnam and Cambodia



Days 1, 2:
Depart for Vietnam!  After crossing the International Date Line arrive in Hanoi where you will be greeted by your tour guide.

Day 3:
Morning tour of Hanoi including Ho Chi Minh's museum and mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, and the Quanthanh Temple.
Free time for exploring the old quarter of Hanoi.
This evening we will attend a theatre for a local water puppet performance.
Dinner and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 4:
An additional morning of sightseeing includes the Ho Chi Minh House and the Museum of Ethnology, which contains exhibits of all of Vietnam's diverse ethnic groups.
This afternoon journey to Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Sight. Thousands of small islands surrounded by limestone cliffs fill a gorgeous, emerald green sea.

Day 5:
Today there's time to explore a number of the islands and caves of spectacular Halong Bay, by boat.
Late afternoon return to Hanoi for dinner.

This evening board an overnight train bound for Hue, the old capital of Vietnam.

Day 6:
Morning arrival in Hue, Vietnam.
Upon arrival depart on a boat cruise along the Perfume River. Up river, a visit to the Thein Mu Pagoda is followed by a tour of the Minh Maung Mausoleum — the resting place of the second Nguyen Emperor.
Dinner and overnight in Hue.

Day 7:
Full day of sightseeing of Hué includes visits to the Imperial Palace and the Citadel, behind the walls of which are found the Imperial City, the Forbidden Purple City, beautiful gardens, esplanades and palaces. We will also visit two of the most famous of the Nguyen Dynasty mausoleums.
Free time in the afternoon for shopping at the Dong market.
Overnight train to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City).

Day 8:
Morning transfer to the Mekong Delta for a boat trip to the local floating markets.
Return to Saigon in the afternoon for a driving tour of the city.
Later in the afternoon board our flight for Cambodia!

Day 9:
Early morning departure for Angkor Wat – a grouping of temples dedicated to the Hindu God Vishnu by King Suryavarman II, who reigned between 1131 and 1150. Constructed over a period of 30 years, Ankor Wat is the largest religious site on the planet. In 1992, the UNESCO declared these monuments, and the entire city of Angkor, a World Heritage Site.
Later visit Preah Khan and Banteay Srei, located about 10 miles north of Angkor.
This evening hike to the summit of Phnom Bakheng just before sunset in order to enjoy a priceless panoramic view of Angkor.

Day 10:
This morning travel to Angkor Thom, a royal fortified city of 10 square kilometers built by King Jayavarman VII. This city has five monumental gates and is encircled by a moat 100 meters wide.
Later in the day tour the Terrace of Elephants, the Terrace of the Leper King and the pristine and unpreserved Ta Prohm.
Free time for shopping in the market later today.

Day 11:
Return to Saigon by flight or tourist bus for the journey home.


Includes double hotel accommodations, airport transfers, all ground transportation, trip guide, included activities, breakfast and dinner.
Not included are departure taxes and visa fees.
Services of a full-time G-Tours guide and local guide for the entire trip.
