Costa Rica Adventure – 8 Days
Arenal, Monteverde, and Manuel Antonio
Day 1
Arrive in San Jose, Costa Rica and check into the hotel. After orientation, explore the city of San Jose or proceed to Poas Volacano National Park.
Days 2, 3
After breakfast, we will travel to Fortuna and Mt. Arenal, one of the world’s most active volcanoes. Along the way stop by Zarcero to visit the renowned church located there. In the evening enjoy the natural hot springs at the foot of the volcano. On a clear night, we will get to see the mighty fireworks of Arenal!. We will also get to go horseback riding through the rainforest. Also, take your turn flying high through the forest canopy on ziplines!
Days 4, 5
These two days will be spent at Monteverde, one of the most interesting destinations in all of Costa Rica because of its natural beauty, lush rainforest and plentiful wildlife. More than a hundred species of mammals, 120 reptiles and amphibians and 2,500 different plants inhabit this renowned wilderness! You have the option of enjoying some incredible zip-lines, sky trek bridges, canopy tours and hikes through the rain forests.
Days 6, 7
Take an excursion along the Pacific shoreline to the 716-acre Manuel Antonio National Park, known for its dense jungle vegetation and abundant wildlife (lots of monkeys!). In addition to enjoying the surf and the white sand beaches, students also have the option of taking a Catamaran Cruise to see incredible marine wildlife (snorkeling included) or kayaking along the breath-taking Pacific coastline.
Day 8
Depart for home after eight incredible days!
