Costa Rican Adventure – 6 Days (with Tortuga Island)
White Water Rafting, Ziplining, Horseback Riding, Snorkeling, Hotsprings,
and Fun at the Beach!
Day 1
Arrive in San Jose, Costa Rica and check into the hotel. After orientation, explore the city of San Jose or proceed to Poas Volacano National Park.
Day 2
Full day of outdoor adventure. Wake up early for a full day of white water rafting on the Pacuare, a challenging river through the rain forest where we will see abundant wildlife and learn about the local ecosystem. This will be a day to remember!
Days 3, 4
After breakfast, we will travel to Fortuna and Mt. Arenal, one of the world’s most active volcanoes. Along the way stop by Zarcero to visit the renowned church located there. In the evening enjoy the natural hot springs at the foot of the volcano. On a clear night, we will get to see the mighty fireworks of Arenal!. We will also get to go horseback riding through the rainforest. Also, take your turn flying high through the forest canopy on ziplines! Then travel down to the Pacific coast.
Day 5
Take a catamaran cruise to Tortuga Island. Included is snorkeling and time to enjoy the beautiful beach. Watch for the sea birds and jumping fish, and you may even get to see dolphins and sea turtles along the way. Once you get to the island, you can snorkel and see lots of coral, a large variety of tropical fish, along with stunning flora and fauna. Return to the San Jose area late in the evening.
Day 6
Depart for home after six incredible days!
