New Zealand and Australia - 11 Days
Days 1, 2
Journey to New Zealand. Board your overnight flight and arrive in Auckland two days later. Our G-Tours guide will meet you at the Auckland International Airport.
Day 3
Head into Auckland where we will enjoy a tour of the ‘City of Sails’. Our tour will include the Sky Tower, the Auckland Museum, the harbour and the America’s Cup location. Evening tour and optional activities available.
Day 4
Travel south to Waitomo. Optional black water rafting! Intertube or raft through the earth while gazing at glowworms above. Arrive in Rotorua in the evening.
Day 5
Guided tour of the thermal city of Rotorua. In the afternoon we will take a tour of the Thermal Reserve including hot springs and geysers. We will also visit a local Maori village. Optional Hangi Feast and show in the evening.
Day 6
Morning departure for Auckland. Optional activities in the afternoon include visiting the Antartic Center, attending an IMAX show, or shopping. In the afternoon we will board our flight for Australia! Today we will visit Darling Harbour. In the afternoon you have the option of visiting the Chinese Gardens, climb the AMP Tower, and visit the Aquarium or the Queen Victoria Building. Dinner back at the hotel and then opt to take an evening walking tour.
Day 7
In the afternoon we will board our flight for Australia! Today we will visit Darling Harbour. In the afternoon you have the option of visiting the Chinese Gardens, climb the AMP Tower, and visit the Aquarium or the Queen Victoria Building. Dinner back at the hotel and then opt to take an evening walking tour with your guide.
Day 8
Morning visit of The Sydney Opera House and the Circular Quay. In the afternoon we will tour the historic Rocks district. Lunch at City Extra in Circular Quay.
Day 9
Travel to Manly by ferry across Sydney Harbour. Time at Manly Beach. There will have the opportunity to play volleyball or swim at the beach. Surfing lessons available. Fish & Chips on the beach (A Great Aussie Tradition).
Day 10
Depart for the Blue Mountains! Hike through the Blue Mountains starting with a thousand stair climb down the smallest of the famous Three Sisters. Hike past a waterfall and climb back out of the valley. We will see some sacred aboriginal sights. Meanwhile keep an eye out for koalas!
Day 11
Return to Auckland. After nine unforgettable days, depart for the States from Auckland!
