6 Day: Glacier National Park

Day 1: Arrival

  • Late afternoon/evening arrival. Check into Hotel.
  • Welcome Dinner.
  • Evening orientation to the week. Optional evening activities include: Evening bonfire with story-telling, star gazing and S’mores; The tools of a Naturalist: develop the skill to identify Glacier’s wildlife and plants; Canoeing/kayaking on Lake McDonald – if weather and time permits.

Day 2-5: Glacier National Park

  • Travel the famous Going to the Sun road with stops for wildlife viewing and photographs.
  • Hike the highline trail at the top of Logan pass. Look for mountain Goats, bears and more. Guided and self-guided activities explore how plants and animals survive to life in the extreme mountain environment.
  • Tour the seldom visited east side of Glacier including the wildlife rich Many Glacier region.
  • Hike to Grinnell Glacier – one of the parks more famous and last remaining Glaciers.
  • Take a thrilling half day whitewater trip in the Middle Fork Flathead River rafting
  • Additional possible activities include: Horseback riding, canoe or kayaking, fly-fishing lessons, boat tours, Native American Storytelling, take a Red Bus Tour, and zip line at Whitefish Mountain Resort.

Day 6: Depart for Home

  • After five life-changing days, depart for home.
