Egyptian Adventure - 10 Days
Days 1, 2
Depart and arrive in Cairo in the afternoon of your second day. Meet your guide and transfer to your hotel for an evening meal and orientation.
Day 3
Cairo is the largest city in Africa with between 12 and 18 million inhabitants - nobody is sure, but there are quite a few. We will visit the ancient town of Memphis, and then continue on to Giza and be amazed at the Great Pyramid of Cheops and the 4500 year-old Sphinx.
Day 4
Fly to Aswan or Luxor and begin a once-in-a-lifetime 4-day cruise along the Nile River.
Days 5-8
During the voyage we will visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, known for its sandstone temple, and Edfu, where you will see the 2000 year-old temple to the Sun God. Next, you will arrive in one of the most amazing places in all of the world – the Valley of the Kings. See the terraced tombs of Queen Hatshepsut, the Colossi of Memnon. At Luxor and Karnak, be awed by the temples, the Avenue of Sphinxes, and the colossal statues of kings. You will be stunned by what you see! After visiting the temples of Abu Simbel, board a night train to Cairo on Day 8.
Day 9
Visit the other intriguing places around Cairo, including the huge market at Khan el-Khalili, the Egyptian Museum where you will see the treasures of King Tutankhamen, and the Mosque of Mohamed Ali.
Day 10
Depart from Cairo and return home.
