England and Scotland - 10 Days
Day 1
Depart for the UK!
Days 2, 3
Arrive in London and meet your guide. Enjoy Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery, Buckingham Palace, the Parliament Building, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, St. Paul's Cathedral, Covent Gardens, Picadilly Circus, Leicester Square, and other famous sites along the Thames. In the evening, opt for a famous Westend show. Lots to see and do in London!
Day 4
In the morning we will travel to Windsor to take a tour of the Queen’s residence, the Windsor Castle. Then travel to the picturesque town of Stratford-on-Avon, where you can visit Shakespeare’s burial place and opt to go inside of the home where he was born.
Day 5
Travel through the beautiful area of the Lake District and see why so many people have wanted to escape there. Continue through the Lake District to Edinburgh, Scotland.
Day 6
Walk along and enjoy the sites along Edinburgh's famous Royal Mile. Visit the spectacular Edinburgh Castle, Old Town, and walk past Holyrood Palace - the queen’s summer residence. Take in the incredible view as you climb Arthur’s Seat. See the monuments to Sir Walter Scott and John Knox, enjoy the shopping district, climb Calton Hill, or visit the National Gallery.
Day 7
Enjoy the scenery along the way as you travel south across Scotland. Walk along the coast and enjoy a beautiful walk on Holy Island. Arrive that night in York.
Day 8
York is one of the finest locations in all of Europe! Visit the largest cathedral north of the Alps, the Yorkminster, and take in the ancient Roman walls that surround the city. Enjoy shopping in the shambles area of York, or rent a boat and take a relaxing ride down the river.
Day 9
Depart from York to travel back to London. Spend one last night in London for some last minute shopping, another Westend show, or walk along the Thames River to and see Tower Bridge or Big Ben all lit up!
Day 10
Depart for home with your memories that will last a lifetime!
