Rome, Florence, and Venice - 9 Days
Day 1
Journey to Europe. Board your overnight flight and arrive in Rome the next morning.
Day 2
Begin to explore the many sites in the Eternal City of Rome! Our time will be spent visiting the 2000 year-old Colosseum, the Arch of Constantine, the Arch of Titus, the ancient Roman Forum, and the Mammertine Prison. Travel to the famous Trevi Fountain to see it at night.
Day 3
Travel to Vatican City and visit St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museum. Be inspired by the magnificent Sistine Chapel - home of Michelangelo’s Last Judgment and other impressive works. Also visit the Spanish Steps, the well-preserved Pantheon, and Piazza Navonna.
Day 4
Travel through the beautiful Italian countryside to Florence. View Ghiberti’s Gates of Paradise and visit the famous Cathedral of Florence called “the Duomo”. Walk along the shops in the area of the Ponte Vecchio and other famous shopping areas of Florence.
Day 5
Begin our day by touring the Galleria dell Accademia, where you will see the famous statue of Michelango's David. Opt to climb the tower leading up to the top of the Duomo for an impressive view of Florence or, for the art enthusiasts, tour the Uffizi museum to enjoy more spectacular Renaissance artwork. In the evening, you will have more time for relaxing and shopping.
Day 6
Depart from Florence and travel through the Italian countryside to Venice. On our first day in this enchanting city we will experience St. Mark’s Square, many unique and famous stores, and other important historical and cultural sites.
Day 7
Continue to shop and explore on the island of Venice. After visiting the Basilica of St. Marks, opt to tour the Doges Palace or a famous glass-blowing shop. Relax in the atmosphere that only Venice can provide! You may even have a chance to take an evening gondola ride through the canals on your own!
Day 8
Travel through the Italian countryside as you make your way back to Rome. Then, time for some last minute shopping and sightseeing!
Day 9
After eight unforgettable days, depart for home.
