Australia - 14 Days



Days 1, 2
Journey to Australia . Board your overnight flight and arrive in Sydney two days later. Your guide will meet you at the Sydney International Airport.

Day 3
Head into Sydney where we will check into our hotel and receive our first introduction to Australia. Today we will visit Darling Harbour. In the afternoon you have the option of visiting the Chinese Gardens, climb the AMP Tower, and visit the Aquarium or the Queen Victoria Building. Dinner back at the hotel and then opt to take an evening walking tour.

Day 4
Morning visit of The Sydney Opera House, Circular Quay and the historic Rocks district, where the Rocks Markets will be on! Lunch at City Extra in Circular Quay. Travel to Manly by ferry across Sydney Harbour. Time at Manly Beach. There will be opportunity to play volleyball, or swim at the beach. Why not get a surfing lesson, highly recommended for those unfamiliar with the surf and Aussie beaches! Or you can just shop! Fish & Chips on the beach (A Great Aussie Tradition).

Day 5
Depart for the Blue Mountains! Hike through the Blue Mountains starting with a thousand stair climb down the smallest of the famous Three Sisters. Hike past a waterfall and climb back out of the valley. We will see some sacred aboriginal sights. Meanwhile keep an eye out for koalas!

Head back to Sydney where you can choose to walk across the Harbour Bridge. Other optional activities include your last chance to shop in Sydney at the QVB, The Rocks, or at Darling Harbour.

Day 6
Morning departure for Cairns. Check into our hotel and meet for Cairns briefing. Walking tour of Cairns including shopping and sight-seeing.

Day 7
More time to tour Cairns. Visit the Pier and check out the famous Night Markets. Free time at the hotel’s pool.

Day 8
Today we will head out by boat to the breath-taking Great Barrier Reef! Spend the afternoon snorkeling, swimming, or just sun-bathing. Lunch on the Reef.

Day 9
Head to the Rainforest! We will take a high through the Rainforest and swim at a waterfall. Visit The Boulders, a creek where you might see a platypus! Here we will be having a picnic lunch.

Day 10
Learn more about Aboriginal culture before having lunch in Cairns. In the afternoon we will visit an animal park to observe many unique animals only found in Australia! Cuddle a Koala Bear, feed kangaroos, and check out the Crocodiles!

Day 11
Depart for Mt. Mulligan. Mt Mulligan is an outback ranch that was an old mining town before Australia’s largest mining disaster. We will take hikes through the old town and up to a Waterfall. At night we will sleep under the stars on Aussie swags around a campfire.

Day 12
Day at Mt. Mulligan. Horse-back riding, hiking and swimming available. Depart for Cairns in the afternoon.

Day 13
Breakfast and free time in the morning. Opportunities to interact further and play sports. Free time in the evening for last-minute shopping.

Day 14
After twelve unforgettable days, depart for the States from Cairns !!
