Boston - New York City – Amish - Philadelphia - 7 Days
Day 1
Depart in the morning for Boston, Massachusetts. Arrive late in the afternoon and head to the city center to see the Trinity Church and the massive Prudential Center. After dinner travel to the top of the Prudential, Boston’s only sky-high observatory.
Day 2
Morning visit to Bunker Hill and the Bunker Hill Memorial.
The rest of the morning will be spent touring the Freedom Trail including the U.S.S. Constitution, Little Italy, Paul Revere’s House, and a special educational program at the Old North Church. Lunch at Faneuil Hall.
This afternoon board an amphibious “Duck” for a ride on land and water to see many of Boston’s famous sites.
Day 3
Depart in the morning for Plymouth MA and the Plimoth Plantation. See Plymoth as it was in1700! Tour the village and climb aboard the Mayflower II a replica of the original.
Depart after lunch for New York City. We want you to experience Manhattan at its best, so we have arranged for you to stay right in the heart of the city!
Dinner followed by evening walking tour of Midtown which will include Times Square, MTV Studios, Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, NBC Studios and more.
Day 4
Morning visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island to learn about the waves of immigrants that came ashore from 1892-1924.
Once back on shore visit the World Trade Center Site and other offerings in this area including a visit to historic Trinity Church and Federal Hall (where George Washington gave his first Inaugural Address) as well as sites in the Financial District including Wall Street and the New York Stock Exchange.
Possible trip to South Street Seaport, preserving New York’s historic seafaring tradition and to see the Brooklyn Bridge.
Broadway Show in the evening!
Day 5
Morning visit to Central Park! Following a stroll through the park eexperience the best of shopping in the Big Apple on 5th Avenue and at the Macy’s Department Store or opt for a visit to the MET or Natural History Museum.
Depart after lunch for the Amish Country and where we will watch a multimedia presentation and learn more of the history and culture of the Amish people. Enjoy a hearty Amish dinner.
Day 6
Tour an Amish home and have some free time for shopping before starting our journey to Philadelphia. Along the way we will stop at the Valley Forge Historic Park to tour the battlefield.
Arrive in Philadelphia in time for dinner and the Lights of Liberty show around Independence Park.
Day 7
Independence Park area – Visitor’s Center, Independence Hall, Liberty Bell. The Constitution Center.
Dependent on flight schedule: Franklin Court, Betsy Ross house, Elfreth Alley.
Depart for airport and home!
